Greetings guys and dolls, today I’m going to take you on a trip back in history. The Roaring 20’s to be exact. I’m sure if you enjoy beautiful builds in Second Life® then you have already heard of Flashmans. What I find many don’t know however is that even though it closed down for a spell last year, It re-opened it’s gin-soaked doors in June! The new build is AMAZING and even more visually interesting. When you land at the entry point, you are in a green-tinted gloomy town that looks like an echo of the past. As you wonder through the ghostly town, you will peak around the corner to your right and enter the Tea Room store front. Through a curtain lies drugs, drinking and debauchery…. it’s a beautiful thing *winks*.
The Bawdy House and Opium Den is filled with art deco decor (that sounds redundant, lol) surrounding a dance floor, stage, bar and of course the den. There are all sorts of fun poseballs hidden around and you never know when you are going to be dancing on your chair instead of sitting in it! All you Four Yip fans can rejoice because the creative genius has some of her pieces scattered about the sim.

If you haven’t been, this is one of those places that you just HAVE to visit, as it represents SL at its finest. The gentleman and proprietor of the joint is Martin Ren, who you might just see wondering behind the bar, happy to see your smiling faces in his club. He’s is just the bee’s knees! In fact, there are quite a few regulars that will welcome you with open arms and maybe share a drink and a dance. Flashmans has an in-world group as well that keeps you up-to-date with all the scheduled events there, but feel free to drop in anytime!

So go get all dolled up, grab your cad or cutie and head on over to the swanky Flashmans for some bootlegin’ fun! And as always, when we point you to a new place, we’d love to see your pics there so get snap-happy and send them to the Flickr Second Life®: Who Let the Dorks Out? Group. Tell ‘em Bella sentcha, seeee *strokes her mustache*.

I love your photos soooooooo much! Stunning!
It’s definitely a pleasant suprise Olivia! I don’t know if she helped with the build and of course am too lazy to request interviews but her quirky pieces fit right in with the surreal art deco look that reminds me of Modest Mouse’s “Float” video. 🙂 /me is the queen of run-on sentences
And I love Dot!!!! MUAHS! Thank you very much lady 🙂
Flashman’s is really special to me, it was my noob home and the place I met my very best friend.
Not too mention my fond if fuzzy memories of Martin and Van dancing on the old stage in drag… Heehee!
